This table was a garage sale purchase. I've had it for about 20 years and only now, finally refinished it. As with all artists, my own projects get put off till last. It had been painted an electric blue and after stripping it, found the paint had saturated the grain. I painted it black and, taking inspiration from the petite point tulips in my sofa's upholstery, painted fantasy folk art tulips on the top. Couple of coats of clear acrylic varnish and the table has a new life, one less item for a land fill.
