"Gothic". This self portrait is in my "Faces in the Crowd" series. This piece refers to when I was in High School and we used to go to the Club Plaza in Portland, Oregon to dance (usually with ourselves) - there were many a guy or girl that looked like this! These paintings have a lot of the white canvas showing through - much of the painting is hand rubbed. The roughness of the application is intended to create a raw feeling.
