Artist comment: "Here I 'pushed the envelope' of vivid color to paint a scene typical of a late summer day. You can almost feel the heat! My substrate of Canson Mi-Teintes paper was ideal for pastel, as it 'grabbed' the pigment in luminous pulses of golds, reds, greens, purples and blues."
