"Castelfalfi" is part of my "Italy On My Mind" series. "Castelfalfi" is the name of a Tuscan town near San Gimignano. It is surrounded by green hills. I spent several summer vacations traveling all over the Tuscany countryside and the coast. The hills are amazing there: they look like green ocean waves. And then, all of a sudden....a solitary tree (or a small group of them) on top of one of the hill! This kind of scene is so common in Tuscany.
The scene in this piece is so peaceful and serene.
