'Nova' (the primary piece) is Native American (Hopi) for "chases butterflies". This piece is three combined shots... the tree being a digital I took in Feb 2009; the hands releasing a butterfly were borrowed from the web in 2007 and then altered to fit this picture, and the face was one of my digital photographs from around 2005 (am also doing a self-portrait painting from the 2005 photograph).
The second (Make Believe) is a digital alteration where I took a background of a field I shot between Denton and Seagrove NC and added a nude, a unicorn, a giraffe, and a baby bear (the nude is one of mine, the animals were "borrowed" from the web and I added a unicorn horn to the horse).
The third (Wings in the Forest) is two photographs combined and then altered.... the background was not a piece I shot, again it was "borrowed" from the worldwide web and then altered (I rarely include these in anything I put online and if I do I always state what was borrowed). The woman in the foreground was mine.
The fourth gets no name as it is also nothing more than a practice piece I liked well enough to stash in here. It can't be entered or reproduced and sold or anything because the majority of the background was part of a more well-known piece of digital work that originally had a rippled clock in the water... and my "stone" was actually turquoise ice prior to the rework I did. So this is just a practice piece for my new digital hobby.
