Artist comment: "What could be more delightful than the cherished blooms of Spring's early bird, the rhododendron. Because I love pink, I grew these in my Olympia, Washington yard. I sketched this cluster of blooms on 140# hot-pressed watercolor paper, then layered watercolor to give the blooms depth. The glossy green leaves set the perfect balance of cool amidst the shades of pink."
