This beautiful animal is both intelligent and loving--she belongs to my best friend, and this painting was his birthday present, so it received loving care in the painting, as well. It's so easy to make an animal portrait go wrong, and I tried hard to capture Sarah's personality as well as her lustrous brindle coat and fine shape--the love shows in her eyes.
