This painting is another illustration for an upcoming book of short stories for which I am providing the illustrations. Another painting featuring "Poe" - a character in the book - she has a steampunk flair, living in a neo-Victorian world combining fairytale whimsy with arcane technology, with kind of a pollution/environment theme. Cool stuff! Here she is, riding on a magnificent pigeon as she flies over a desolate urban landscape with factories belching smoke into the sky. And of course, the obligatory airships!
