This original painting depicts an old New Orleans hotel, complete with black iron railing and brightly painted doors... the night sky is cloudy; even the light of a street lamp in the foreground cannot penetrate the gloom. Potted ferns hang from beneath the iron balcony, and the inhabitants of the hotel are clear: ghosts! Hauntings throughout New Orleans are legend; here are just a couple of friendly ethereal spirits.
