"An award winning 'centipede', the creation of Elmer Wharton of Illinois, stretches skyward. To the delight of the audience, the 'centipede' was able to fly in the light Reno winds, thanks to the flying skill of its creator."
Artist comment: "I travel to kite festivals around this great country. In Reno, Nevada, I saw this colorful 'centipede'. As it twisted and writhed in the breezes, the 'legs' kept it in balance and added additional interest. Painting it was a lot of fun. The head and face were the best part!"
