Art: Tatted Rabbit by Artist Alma Lee
The Tatted Rabbit

There once was a rabbit
who had no hair
tormented by others
who said he was no hare

he tried a wig
but it wouldn't stay
they all laughed
and he ran away

He tried a scarf
but he had no tie
they called him stupid
his life a lie

He ran into a tattoo shop
and braved the needles
for the pictures they paint
 they looked on aghast
stil you are no hare
but a fine little rabbit covered at last

This is an original ink drawing on Bristol Paper of a rabbit I have ever seen but would hopes he hops happily through the forest; proud in the story he has to tell. To those that would mock him I hope he is patient and kind, because sometimes when you are different others feel offended and make you seem small and all of us need to respond to them in the kindness,  they don't know how to show.
