This female unicorn came about in a strange way...I was sitting on my deck one Winter Solstice, curled up by the fire in the chiminea, and suddenly her wild face came into my mind. Part human, part unicorn, she was pure inspiration. I couldn't wait to get my sketchbook.
She has since appeared in my art in many ways...she seemed a natural as a clay plaque affixed to the mixed media assemblage that includes leaves gathered and dried for another purpose, paint, paper, ink, rubbings...mounted on an archival support. Framed, she will be larger than 6" x 6".
