Toulouse is practicing his Trick or Treat skills. Alphonse is appropriately surprised. The little toad has been promised a ride to the next pond, far from cauldrons. A last minute check on the flight plan for Halloween night, over a cup of coffee to warm the bones for late hours and we're set to go. All is carefully planned for a safe and happy All Hallows Eve. My technique is simple, but time consuming. First I sketch the layout, then ink. Next colors are layered from dark to light with colored pencil, burnished to a solid finish, then inked again. It's drawn on an 8 x 10 archival rag board, then sprayed with workable fixatif to seal and protect.
