Art: But he follwed me home! by Artist Noelle Hunt
"But he followed me home!"

Another “Big Eyed” piece from Internationally selling Canadian artist Noelle Hunt.

Painted during the Katrina Hurricane this piece has been auctioned off for the 2nd harvest food bank.

A whimsical look at the underworld. If you were the devils child how on earth could you get a pet? I like the idea of a sweet little daemond (demond) wanting a loveable puppy. I like the dichotomy of the devil and children, of loving something when you are supposed to be evil. I like the idea that this wee imp would be brave enough to make such an obvious lie. The pug has a slightly dazed look as if he is not quite sure how he arrived in this position.

Done again in my “Big Eyed” style inspired by such artist as Gig or Keane, I have tried to recapture that innocent feeling, but added my own warped sense of humour.

One reviewer wrote, "Ms. Hunt's style can best be described as, nouveau retro." I am inspired by all things kitsch: pin up girls, big-eyed children, pity puppies and tiki bars. These vintage things inspire my work, go through my mental filter and emerge, reshaped in a modern style. It reflects not only my inspiration but also my personality...delightfully unpretentious.
