Art: Alannah and the Gargoyle by Artist Jasmine Ann Becket-Griffith
"Alannah and the Gargoyle" - ready to hang - 2" deep cradled masonite - it is is an ORIGINAL acrylic painting measuring 20"x16", ready to hang. Alannah and the Gargoyle - an illustration of one of the girls in an upcoming book I'm illustrating. "Alannah and the Gargoyle" shows a scene from the story, Alannah is speaking to a stone gargoyle friend who lives in the forgotten cathedral of which she is a caretaker. She's holding a bucket, preparing to wipe down the front steps of the old building. My recent trip to Paris helped inspire the general feel for this painting (as well as the landscape & architecture). Alannah herself has stone wings and appears in shades of grey. Since she will be eventually published in a book as an illustration, this painting may be of particular interest to collectors.
