I love to sit and look up at the moon and try to gain insight on the mysteries of life. My love of the color blue might even stem from the moonlit landscape on a summer night. The moon can make black look blue. And what better addition to a landscape than a blue nightblooming flower?
Being self-taught makes me feel like I have an advantage - I haven't been brainwashed into following a certain technique and it keeps my mind freely on surreal and abstract subject matter rather than realism. I get enough realism every day.
This is painted with high-quality oils on gallery-wrapped 1-1/2" thick canvas. It measures 20 x 24".
