"Montalcino" is an original oil painting. It is part of my "Italy On My Mind" series. This piece is filled with intense hues of greens and rich textures. Montalcino is a small town about twenty miles from Siena, overlooking the valley of the Ombrone. I spent several summer vacations traveling all over the Tuscany countryside and the coast. The Tuscan hills are always coming to my mind: they are some of Italy's most brethtaking panoramas.
