Beautiful mixed media ORIGINAL signed DSprague. You can see the depth! The focal fish are formed using ceramic clay bisque fired first in a kiln, cooled and then hand glazed with specialty glazes I make here in the studio. It is then refired to 1850 degrees and pulled RED hot from the kiln and placed in a pit of Oregon pine needles to "smoke"..This is what causes the unique color effects. This piece is done on gallery wrap canvas with Heavy 1 1/2" sides painted all around. There is layers and layers of paints, inks, resin, dichroic glass, metal powders and finally the raku piece is added. It is ready to hang
