A mermaid leaves the familiar safety of the sea and makes the transition from fish to human. Her expression shows no fear, but curiosity of what all the fuss is about on land. Unabashed she is only adorned with flaming red hair and a few treasures from the deep. There are rolling waves and a setting sun beyond. Rendered in ink and colored pencil on rag board and sealed with clear acrylic varnish.
