This work was primarily inspired by the shades of the tall Delphiniums that were surrounded by Larkspur, Carnations and Lobelia in the cottage garden. I was also inspired by Sir Paul Smith's work and the pinstripe- barcode style that seemed to lend itself to the portrayal of Delpiniums in this work.
