This is my piece for the 2009 Think Pink Show to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Having a mammogram is one of those things that many women approach with some degree of anxiety. My intention with this painting was to infuse the usual cold and clinical setting with some grace and warmth.

I took my color cues from the show prospectus using predominantly pinks, with the green gown providing contrast. I also applied copper leaf to the canvas for additional textural and color interest.
