- Sea Monkey Banana Slug
Didn’t everyone want to buy the sea monkeys from the back of the comic books? It was right there beside the x-ray glasses and the stuff that would make sure no one would ever kick sand in your face again! My parent never let buy that stuff. I was deprived.
And even if your parents did let you buy them they never ever grew those crowns, no matter how much you fed them. Well now I have created my own idea of what a sea monkey should be! Can’t you just see this little fellow frolicking around the tank with his buddy, Sydney the Banana Slug? Oh sure point out that banana slugs can’t live underwater, break the spell of imagination I have going here. It my child hood we’re recreating after all.
Painted in acrylics on quality artist masonite and coated with 3 coats of gesso (primer) Omar and Sydney are also protected by a coat of acrylic sealer. Saving them from the wear and tear of the environment! This piece is not framed but will easily fit in any standard 9x12 frame. No need to keep them under glass like real sea monkeys! That’s why they are sealed!
Oh and you don’t have to worry about killing them by overfeeding them either, they’re happy to just be watched!
