HAHAHA Lisa!  The relationship pretty much went down hill after that!  All my friends were ROTFLMAO over the story, but not him!  Some couple finally ended up taking pity on him the next morning and drove him and his boxes to the greyhound.  So about 30 hours later he made it home.  He lived about a mile from me.  A week later my van was finally ready, the whole ordeal cost me almost $3,000. above the planned cost of the vacation/trip.  The tranny was covered under warranty, but it never felt right after that so I ended up trading it in on the Intrepid  I still drive today.  176,000 miles and going strong!

Oh, and to this day, i only travel solo!

Well, no, but even if I am, please lie to me so I'll get into the van and then drive off with me in it.  I won't jump out, I promise!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA, you know, I thought about that angle, but the ride to that point had not been going well at all.  The man was annoyng as hell.  For one thing, he HAD to have me stop at every single McDonalds he spotted on the trip so he could get his "arabica bean coffee" . Have I said that i have NEVER eaten a McDonalds in my whole life?  My only regret is that I went back the first time I left and gave the sucker another chance, lolol!

Great story, Steph! There's an old indian saying...."Woman with her own horse, can go where she wants!" Makes me want to seek out that rest stop and post an historical marker, commemorating female independence.

LOL Shelly!  Glad you enjoyed the story!  It was very funny.  I can't tell you how much he hated it whenever I laughed like hell at the story!  It was the beginning of the end of that one, but I am waaaay better off for it all!
