Editing forum post? - 1/10/2007 12:47:37 PM
Guest
Hi, I'm trying to edit my post again. I was able to edit it before, but now the edit button is not showing at all. I made sure I am logged in.

Can we only edit a post once, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Sarah

Sarah, it's there but you have to scroll allllll the way to the right for it since you have a long url in there.

DOH!

Thanks for your help! I must have been having some sort of moment, although I hesitate to speculate on what kind...

By the way, my cursor acts really weird. It disappears in the leftmost inch or so of the box. Like this;
here's where the cursor shows up. Anywhere to the left of the h, and it disappears.

If I'm the only one reporting that, it's undoubtedly something my PC is doing. Never seen it before...

I apologize for adding to this thread even more... but another member has let me know that she can't see my much-aforementioned image of the girls swinging - just an error message. I don't see the error, but now I'm wondering if others do.

It's not that this is an earthshaking image, and I'm truly not trying to spam it. But whenever something's not working, I like to solve it. If I'm doing something wrong, I want to learn.

So, I guess my question is; is the image visible in the thread? Or is the error message seen by anyone else? Thread

If the image is visible, I'll let this thread die a peaceful death, I promise.

Hi Sarah, I can't see the image and I also see the error message. I'm sorry I don't know how to fix it.

It is a lovely image by the way, I enjoy looking at it very much.

Um, I see the error, too. I have never seen anything like it and am not sure what happened. Let me at the very least get your correct image in there.

I think the problem was that it was trying to display an file that was no longer in the system database.

Um, it's not? Did I inadvertently change something? I can see the image in the thread and in my portfolio, but maybe that's because I'm logged on.

Do I need to do something? Reupload the image?

You tried to do it as an attachment at one point, yes? Well from what I could tell, the forum couldn't find the image in its database when you edited the post. The jpeg itself is still in EBSQ's database.

I hope I'm making sense!

Why, Amie, you always make sense!

So I guess my question is; is the thread okay now? Is the image showing correctly? Or does something more need to happen?
