What are your mentoring needs:

Access your Art Case. Your Art Case can be found in the left-hand menu of your profile ('Art Case/Portfolio').  I don't see this option anywhere! *blush*

Terrell,

I took a quick look at your account, and it looks like your upgrade didn't save properly the first time. It should be fixed now, but let me know if you're still having problems accessing your member tools!

Amanda,

We don't have a formalized mentoring program in place for help with marketing, selling on eBay, etc. But we do have a section on our boards geared towards marketing questions, including questions specifically geared towards online auctions that you may find helpful!

I would like a mentor. Email, Phone, or skype help would be great. I thought I was computer literate, but this site has proved me wrong. For some reason I can not get my templates to go to eBay, in fact, I never get an option of what type of auction site, like the instructions say...is this normal? Avatar help also. Any other useful info for a newbie appreciated. Thanks.

Angela-
I always have problems when I try to do the ebay templates by going into the ebay template page from the profile page.  Instead go to your art case, pull up the thumb nail of your art, and then click on the drag menu that says edit item and in that list there is an option called generate template.  Be sure to click go after you pick it.  (maybe that is obvious but once wasted 20 minutes from not clicking go.) That is the only way I can get it to work. After you generate one at the bottom of the preview page is all the html.  Copy all that stuff and on the ebay page where you would normally type out a description click "enter own html" and paste it there.

Good luck- Lisa

Oh - after you upload the avatar are you scrolling down to the bottom of your profile page and hitting apply?  Common mistake.

Hope I'm posting in the right spot. I figured out how to generate an ebay template. Now I plan on selling some ACEO's, and wonder how I can use the EBSQ generated template, and add the ACEO link to it. I can't find anywhere that says 'add extra image'. I saw some sellers on ebay have both logos, one after the other and don't know how they do it. Am I making any sense?

hi, I would like to add the ACEO link (or logo) somewhere on my auction listing. It would look best at the end of the description of what an aceo is...but I'm not sure how to add it. I read somewhere that if you plan on using the words ACEO in your ebay listings, that you have to link it to the website, so people can click on and read about them...I'm reasonably good at figuring stuff out, but this one stumped me. Where would I get the html code of the link?

If the ACEO people have certain requirements, you'd have to get the code from them.

Would sure like some input but I don't have a gallery public yet.
Stupid question- Can you have a public gallery and not have any of it for sale?

Any body want to give me some pointers on this jurying process? I have been reading- taking pics etc.

I believe they post a question and answer forum for the jurying process....and I think they have a Chat one evening on it.  Might be wrong in the particulars, but Amie and crew will keep you posted and will explain a lot...just keep checking here in the forums.

Glad to see you applying!

Carolyn

What are your mentoring needs: I would really love a mentor to help me fine tune my style (whimsical, fantasy) and possibly help lead me in the right direction as far as markets for my work.

Thank you

What are your mentoring needs:

I recently joined EBSQ

I have a few questions.
I sell a lot on ebay and want to use EBSQ in the auction title and in my listing.
Do I have to give a COA with all my art if I have the word EBSQ in my listing?
Also can I put the EBSQ logo in my listing?

I tried looking on the FAQ and also in postings on here but couldnt find any info on what I can use and what to do.

Probably looking in the wrong place :-)
Can somebody point me in the right direction
Thanks
Pam

I'll answer what I can; no, you don't have to provide a COA if you use EBSQ in your listing. You have the option, but it isn't a requirement. And yes, you can use the EBSQ logo in your listing. Somewhere in the sidebar menu on your profile page, there should be a link to different logos you can use. Also, EBSQ provides a handy dandy auction template that you can access right from your portfolio. If you select the item you are going to list from your art case, the "edit item" drop down menu has an option for "generate template". That is a very attractive and easy option, as you just fill in your shipping info etc. and it creates the listing, with legal links and logos, from the already existing photos and info on the piece.

Hope that helps! And welcome!

Dawn

Hello!  I am new to ebsq ---would love some mentoring and advice ----I decided this year to take the plunge and work with my art full-time.  Long story but I'm a late bloomer (40ish) and left business to do what I really love.
Now the challenge ---how to continue to create ---and how to SELL!  Would love any and all input.  I know people are selling art online, and through ebsq, now to find out how to do it effectively!

Thanks so much!
:-) Rosemary
