Guest -> Trying in vain to change detail image titles (8/28/2013 11:48:27 AM)

I have tried 3 separate times, and cannot seem to get the names to change on the detail images in my jewelry show piece:

http://www.ebsqart.com/Art-Shows/Exhibits/Statement-Necklaces/381/Aurora-Borealis/746939/

All I keep seeing is the title I gave it on my computer so i could find it to upload.

What am I doing wrong?

Please & thank you

I couldn't find how to change them when I uploaded the images the first time, but when I go back and edit I am able to change it by actually clicking on the "name" (i.e. the .jpg name). Have you tried this?

What Vicky said. Let us know if you have any further problems, ok?

(and we plan to make this MUCH more intuitive in the next iteration. That's one of the tiddly details Bill's been working on the past 10 days)

I did click on the individual names of the detail images, and then was even given a little box to type it in. Then when I would go look to see if it worked it was zzzz3 etc. Is there a "finished editing" button or some such thing?

Thanks Vicky & Aime

There's no "finished editing" button (something I personally disagree with and is changing). Just click away from the area (anywhere on the page) and it automatically saves for you.

I ALMOST came here and said I was successful. I do notice that one of the descriptions I did manage to do successfully this morning has stayed, and I THOUGHT for a minute that the others were staying as well, but alas. It says zzzzz4 etc...

Oh well, I was also looking at a July calender and thought I only had today and tomorrow to get it entered too, but now I see the error of my ways and might actually try and get a better image of the whole main picture as I made this in Spring when it was cold outside to take pictures.

I have time to breathe! [:D]

Guest -> RE:Editing detail images help please? (8/29/2013 6:30:42 PM)

Several attempts have resulted in same failure. I change the title, it looks good, then I go to see the show entry and the two of 3 detail images just show zzzzz number.

I did just add an entry to the flower show and had no trouble naming the detail image so I can't begin to tell you what problem I am running into but I really hate the zzzzz's for the description in my detail necklace images and it is starting to stress me out.

May I please have some editing help from the powers that be? I simply cannot go through another try, I have tried no less than 6 or 7 edits to those 2 pictures, thank you.

What are you trying to name them? If I have titles, I can fix them.

AnnieM -> RE: RE:Editing detail images help please? (8/29/2013 7:48:13 PM)

I'm probably the worst person to offer any advice because I am so computer challenged, but I had the same problem when they last updated EBSQ. Are you hitting the enter key after you put in the name? Because I don't think you are supposed to hit enter after you enter the name, it sort of changes the name automatically after you type it in. I was used to typing in a name change, then hitting enter for the system to take it, but don't seem to have to do that any more. But if that doesn't work, I hope someone else here more computer savvy than me chimes in.

Thanks Amie I will send them to you, I appreciate it.

Annie, thanks but it isn't all the pictures it is only some of the pictures so I have no clue and I will just take Aime up on her solution because honestly, I cannot sit at a computer and keep trying, I will lose what's left of my mind.

Aime I hope it is Ok if I wait till morning, brain is long past on it's way to shut down after a very long grueling day, thank you! I don't expect you to do it johnny on the spot either, I am after all, waiting till morning to even send them, I just can't tonight.

gillie -> RE: RE:Editing detail images help please? (8/30/2013 12:03:27 PM)

Looking at what you sent me, I suspect the reason why it's not working is because you're trying to treat the title like a description, and the character field isn't long enough to allow for what you're trying to include.

Guest -> RE: RE:Editing detail images help please? (8/30/2013 1:06:15 PM)

OHHHHHH, I see! Thank you for doing it for me and now that I know what the problem is, I will work on keeping the words less. That is a TALL order, but I can do it. [:)]

skeymask -> RE: RE:Editing detail images help please? (8/30/2013 9:18:39 PM)

Yes I discovered that field is pretty short long ago and I usually have to close it and reopen it to rename the detail images.
