Go to create links/counters Since this is for your portfolio, you don't want to link it to anything or be clickable. So, select "No, Don't link" and give it a name in the top row. Next, select the code for the invisible 1 pixel counter. (as in copy it) Go to the item you want to count. Click edit Go to the statement page. Click the HTML icon at the top. This now shows your statement in code view. Paste your code at the bottom of your previously entered text. Reclick the HTML icon to turn off code view. Click above the editing box (I suggest the area where it explains about how to edit as HTML) to close the editor. Now, check your counters. If you don't see the name appearing here yet, go to your portfolio and view that item as the public would to get that counter started. That said, if you install Google Analytics, you don't need to do any of the above. GA lets you see all of the traffic to your portfolio and profile pages without having to add and manage a counter for each. That's why I asked if it was for here or elsewhere.
