Thumbnails for Exhibit Entries - 4/21/2011 10:45:08 PM

I don't know how to do the thumbnails for entries into Exhibits. I looked for instructions but I am lost and new at this..need to know how to "load" thumbnails and how to expand an area for detail?

Thanks for help!

Let me see if I can clearly explain this because it is really simple.

Upload your art piece and add the detail pictures.

Then in "Your Art" pick out the uploaded image (I am assuming you already know how to upload an image) and click on Edit. In there you will see Other tools....one of the choices there is to enter into an exhibit. Follow that and it will load your image with all the detail shots...whatever you have uploaded to your portfolio for that image. Be sure you have written a description because they are important in the show. That is it. The program does everything for you

I hope this is helpful.

Carolyn

Sena,

When you say "thumbnails" do you mean individual detail images (ie a small cross section of your art)? Detail shots are encouraged but rarely required. The only exception to this would be a sculptural show.

Thanks, Amie! I misunderstood I guess. I just noticed that several of the artist exhibitors has different closeups of their entry, and it has suggested we include them. I won't worry about it..

I appreciate your feedback!

If you want to include closeups, you can upload them by clicking edit for the original item then clicking the detail images tab for that item. But again, they're not required and may not be necessary for your individual work.

Sena, they aren't necessary but I must say I love checking out details of artwork in the exhibits and it helps me make my decision sometimes.

Maybe mostly with paintings and drawings though, because pictures of those aren't always as crisp and clear as digital.
