imakeart -> Keyword Blurbs Disappeared (3/31/2011 8:51:40 AM)

Strange occurrence I've noticed this morning--some of my keyword blurbs have mysteriously disappeared on artworks already uploaded.

I didn't realize they were gone till I went in to do some edits. They aren't missing for every artwork, only some. [&:]

Mine are all one line above each thing like date of work, keywords, etc. Are you looking at them wrong? Also, is it ones you didn't publish or something like that...maybe you actually had a few you didn't put keywords on for some reason or other.

I'm just brainstorming here.

There were a few of mine without keywords but they were mostly not public, or I didn't really want them to have keywords to be searchable for one reason or another.

No, the keywords I entered and saved disappeared. Big stretches. There were like 3 that would have them and then the next 7 didn't, etc.

I know I entered them. When I thought it saved, it must not have really saved. I didn't check them, so didn't realize they were even missing. [X(]

Did you try putting them back in.....did they stay? Maybe it is a site glitch? sorry about this because it seems like a pain to have to put keywords back in for a bunch of pieces!

I do know that blurbs not saving has been a reported glitch, and I thought it was being worked on/is fixed (although I'm not 100% sure about the fixed part). How long ago did you add the blurbs that didn't save?

Amie, I think it was last week. One of the batches I noticed was my recent upload of pebble ACEOs. The keywords for all of those were missing.

So maybe it was fixed, I just didn't realize mine had been part of the bug! [:D]

Carolyn, I should check. Thank you!! I redid all the ones I saw were missing and will make sure they are still there.

Hi everyone - this is happening to me too... I am fairly new here but it is the one glitch that I have encountered and I enter and re-enter and save and they keep disappearing
I am using Safari browser - maybe I will try Google Chrome and see if it makes some kind of difference?
I am happy here - everyone has been very nice and beautiful art and very supportive here
thank you

This issue is apparently still being worked on. Thanks for letting us know that it's still a problem for you all!

thanks Amie!!!

Good to know it's still be worked on. I checked mine today and all the ones I have filled in a second time had disappeared. LOL

I'll wait till there is some word that it's fixed before trying again.

Hmm...Amanda, just an FYI, I skipped around and looked at old ones and new ones and they seem fine so far. Don't know what the difference is. I use Google most of the time and I have to use IE for templates, otherwise they get scrambled in IE.

I use Firefox Beta. I'll have to try it in Google Chrome later.

The current problem won't impact old keyword blurbs, just blurbs that were added after the changeover to new site code. We're considering removing the feature if we can't get it working for everyone. The only thing we used it for was to enhance site search. But if you write a good artist statement and include a good title, a lot of the keywords being used are likely redundant anyhow.
