That didn't work for me either. Actually the keywords might have since I used them to find one of my paintings but the statement didn't take.

Sorry for getting back to this so much later (was out for the evening). I was using Firefox at the time. I will try going through the process again in the morning--kind of crossed eyed at the moment.

I tried again to add the details for a painting and it would look like it's keeping them but when I go that artwork in my live portfolio it has none of the details I added.

http://www.ebsqart.com/Artist/Amanda-Makepeace/22577/Art-Portfolio/afterthestorm3jpg/665924/

(Firefox 3.6.12)

I clicked Save after inputting each detail. Is there something else I'm suppose to do? Maybe I missed a step?

I went back in to edit the same painting and you can see what it saved and what it didn't.

And what last question: We used to be able organize our images so that all the same type appear together. Like I have all my pebble paintings clustered together when you are look at "All Galleries" but I couldn't see how to do that with the new system. So my new pebble painting is grouped with digital paintings...

Does that make sense?

I thought that was a function of when you uploaded them or how you named them but I never paid that close attention. You're saying that when looking at "all galleries" in the old system, it showed everything, but still grouped by galleries (e.g., paintings first, then aceos, etc)? That does sound kind of familiar.

BTW I had the same problem with my descriptions but I think Amie said it was something they're working on still.

I'm not sure if you're working on something right now but I tried to put one of my uploads in the galleries & a little grey oblong popup comes up saying: Gallery placement error: with no details. I didn't have that problem last night.

I'd like to say again how much better I like this system (overall, once the problems are fixed) than the other one which was such a production. This is SO much easier!!!

I just tried again & was able to get it to go into the EBSQ galleries but not my own ACEO gallery. Is it possible that it's because there's an apostrophe in ACEO's? Maybe the system doesn't like that? I'm going to try renaming that gallery to see what happens.

update - I tried renaming the gallery but nothing happened, no "enter", no indication that anything was wrong.

I went to look at my ACEO's gallery & got this message:

quote:

Category: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Number: (0x80040E14)
Descripton: Incorrect syntax near 's'.

Which to me looks as if the problem is with the apostrophe, but now I can't rename it! I also could have sworn I had more than four pieces in ACEO's but maybe I just never uploaded anything else.

That function IS coming, but it's not completely done yet. We wanted to focus on making sure folks could upload before we finished tackling organization. Right now, the default is to show images from newest to oldest in your portfolio. That was also the default in the old version if you didn't putz with absolute values for what went where.

When it's done, the tools will be located under "My Galleries."

I switched to Chrome.. It is faster but I tried to add art and no go. Nothing.  The image role overlaps and doesn't seem to change.  I did manage to hide some images when I edited. Why can't I upload some pieces?

I'm not sure since I'm not quite understanding what's happening on your end. And yes, Chrome is VERY fast!

Are you seeing the progress bar, etc like I described earlier?

I still cannot upload any new pieces.  It says I have 18 new uploads and I can not find them   The image role is overlapping into the next box.

Ok, so you're uploading fine, but not finding them. Gotcha! Even though the text is overlapping, click the middle of that pull-down box and it will still pull it down and let you select "new uploads" from that list. Once you've done that, click the "search" button next to the empty text box for keywords.

I thought it said you had 18! Did it still say 18 in the pulldown menu before you clicked the "search" button?

It does say 19 but I can't find any of them.  When I search it says no art found.  the pull down menu says I have 19 new uploads.   But when I hit search, it says NO art found  I don't think my buttons work very well.

It is working now. I just have to figure out how to put the images as one piece with different photos.

Are you talking about adding detail images? If so, you don't upload your details until after you start editing the main image.
