Everything was indeed tested prior to launch or we wouldn't have launched, lol. But unfortunately, the new tools buckled and died when being used in a real-life rather than test scenario which is why we've been working 21 hour days since Monday to fix the problem.

It sounds like there are still some IE bugs to be worked out with your information not properly saving. I'll make a note that extends to the COA detail fields. Everything appears saving properly in other browsers, so we'll continue to work on that. In the interim, if you have work that needs to get done now, might I suggest downloading Chrome? It's actually rated as the fastest/least bandwidth/most reliable browser per several usability studies. IE, even IE8 ranked last by a wide margin in every usability test in the last study I read.

I totally understand your frustration. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

I haven't read about all of the bugs yet so I'm sorry if this was brought up. When I uploaded some art (VERY easy so far, although I'm not done with the process yet) In MY ART CASE (Thumbnail view) the text "Personal Gallery Filter" overlaps to the left over the "image role" selection box (it actually obscures that downward pointing triangle you click to get more choices).

Safari, yes? Firefox is having the same problem and it's on the bug fix list. If it is indeed Safari, I'll change the project sheet to reflect both browsers with this issue.

I have fire fox and still cannot upload any art.  Is this going to be fixed?

I can upload with Firefox, so I don't think the browser is necessarily the problem. Are you getting errors, or is it that nothing seems to be happening? As you upload, you *should* see thumbnails of each piece pop up after the upload is successful, and there's also a progress bar as the images load.

I know I posted this last night but it seems to have disappeared - I'm on firefox too.

Ok, I'm starting a new thread specifically to report items that aren't saving text properly.

Hi Amie,

I took your advice and installed Google Chrome last night, then rechecked for the problems I was having and they were still the same. Now today I have had much better success, the detail info is saving, the COA's are showing all info, my commissions tab is now visible, my artcase is now in order of newest to oldest, etc, etc. I am very relieved that these have been taken care of and I thank you guys for listening and for being so gracious even when frustration got the better of me! The only thing that is still not working for me is that my Chiyogami gallery shows no items, even though each of the item is listed as being in that gallery. One minor thing that I thought was odd was that the text for the titles of the artwork in my portfolio are wavy, almost blurry looking, but when you actually click on the piece to get the detail info, the text is fine. I think this same text is on the homepage for the Freshest Art, perhaps it looks like that because it is in italics?

So Jeo

Still working on my artcase and I've run into another problem. When you are in the Edit Art Item window adding detail photos, I cannot give the image a name because the Detail Image Caption field is not visible until I close the Edit Art Item window and reopen it. Also, I cannot delete any of the detail photos.

I'm not sure if this is considered a bug or not. I deleted the info in my Commissions tab, but the tab remains and says above it This artist accepts commissions. I thought it if it was blank it just didn't show up?

That's a bit of a bug. This used to be handled by a checkbox that is no longer there. I think I understand the code behind the problem, but I'll double check with Bill.

I also tried to upload detail images and could not.  Got error message #500 httpStatus in a little pop up.Still using Firefox. I looked around here some more and saw that people were getting the same error because file names were too long.  I shortened them and still no luck.

I had no problem uploading the main image.

One of the things I'd like to do is reorganize my portfolio and add some more personal galleries.  I see there is a place to rename, but don't see where to put new ones... am I just missing something or is that not available yet?

organization isn't available yet, but will be soon under the "my galleries" tab.

Amanda,

My question this:  Am I doing something wrong in the shows sections.  I click to see the winners and it either takes me to the entries only (no winners) or to another show entirely.

This isn't technically a bug but rather something that doesn't look right. It looks as if the images for art of the day, featured artist & featured gallery are all stretched a little to fit the shape of the space they're in. I compared Carmen Keys' two images side by side & the one on the front page is definitely elongated - not much but enough so that I noticed, and I've never seen that piece before. I think it would be better to use a larger image & crop it to fit rather than stretching it, which changes the whole look.

The site looks good. LOVE the bulk uploader!. Is there a way to delete pictures I have in the upload? I have doubles of some things.

Also where do we see our counters now?

Thanks!

Glad you're enjoying the changes so far!

Yes, the elusive delete button is coming soon. In the interim, you *can* hide these duplicates both from yourself AND public view.

And while the counters aren't technically built into the new system yet, you should be able to view your existing counters here:

You can actually add new personal galleries now. When you're on the Gallery placement page, simply type over whatever's in the pull-down menu box and click save. Not terribly intuitive at the moment, but it works!

As for the rest, we'll take a further look into that for you. Since I'm happy with how my stuff is currently organized, I haven't played with that particular tool as much as I should have.
