I'm not sure if this is the same thing Amanda mentioned a while back, but when my art case is loading, I get an unresponsive script message...":script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Also...and again, perhaps I missed this...but is editing of existing descriptions, titles, images etc. functional? I am not seeing any place to click to edit any text. On my bio, I sort of randomly clicked on the text, (no edit buttons visible), and the whole thing highlighted and I was able to edit, but that doesn't seem to be working for the art case. When I tried highlighting text to edit, I was booted to the "General" page of my portfolio.

I'm on Firefox, OS10.4.11

That's actually how it's supposed to work. Clicking anywhere on the text brings up the editing tool. I agree it's not terribly intuitive and I'm lobbying to have that changed, but it's lower on the priority list right now.

Mac OS 10.5 with Safari, when I try to view my ArtCase, I get

And then Safari shuts down, every internet site I'm on, not just the window for art case.....

No prob, my computer is OLD and SLOW, so these things I normally chock up to "I need a new computer" field.... OS 10.5 says it requires 1gb memory, and I only have 512mb, so I'm already "pressing my luck"...lol

I'm on Firefox too and I just uploaded art.. saw the little image of it.. went to "My art" seached "New uploads" hit search and it's not finding it.. although it does tell me there is 1 new upload??   It's there somewhere??  I keep getting the script error so figure this is why I can't find the painting I just uploaded?

Today my artcase doesn't show up at all. I have duplicate page links and the page advance link, but no art. The art is showing up in my public profile OK.

And just to clarify....to edit descriptions or titles in the art case, you should be able to just click on the text? I was unable to do that in thumbnail view, and was unable to select to get a different or full view.

Edit: OK...I just read in the off topic thread that the "thumbnail view" actually isn't thumbnail. [;)] In which case, the edit functions for my art case appear to not be functional at all. Well....yesterday when the art was there they weren't.

I have a few other questions, but will wait to see if I can hash them out myself when the art case is functioning again.

Bill was up until 7:30am tinkering, so I haven't yet seen myself what state the ArtCase is actually in. He believes he found the root of the IE problems, made some corrections on the live site, and is re-writing stuff for everyone on our dev server. This has been an incredibly painful growing pain for everyone, but I think the tools that come out of this mess will actually be better than what we originally conceived.

That said, those tools aren't working yet, including editing artist statements. And I do believe he said something about art temporarily not showing up there. Off to look myself now.

Hi - Have you made any progress on the Windows Internet Explorer 8 and inability to search for artists' names? I see I still can't search for an artist by name. I know you guys have a bazillion things to do, so it's no rush. I can get to people's portfolios if I see their picture anywhere and also when they leave a message here, but would be nice to put in their names to bring them up.

It's unfortunately a probably affecting the entire IE browser family. It's still being worked on and should *hopefully* be tackled before day's end. Right now, Bill's main focus is getting the ArtCase to function properly for everyone so folks can start using the site again.

All of the tools for uploading/managing art are basically down for the count right now while we're working to rebuild them in a way that will work for everybody. We hope to have everything working as expected soon.

Tried out the Concentration game last night for the first time, was very fun! I'm still getting used to the new look, maybe it's there but I can't find my commission info on my profile. I can find it to edit it, but when I see my portfolio as the public sees it, I can't find it. Am I blind?
