Ok, Tai, you pasted your code as text. You needed to be in HTML mode to add the counter. I'd be happy to get everything fixed up for you. Once the counters are properly installed hopefully they'll show up in your counter list since they need to be hit at least once to get activated.

Hello, My name is Cecilia Power or as my screen name is "cilipower". I am a fiber sculpturist which is a fancy name for macrame artist, or knotty person as some may choose to refer to me as. I have been knotting for 42 years, began early fall 1970. I am a hippy who never grew up, lol! Though I truly believe my work did mature and become something far from the "hippy trippy" commonplace plant hanger or hanging shelves.

I sculpt and paint with my knots and have had shown in couple of galleries in Ellensburg, Wa. One juried show "The Alternative Energy Roundup and Art Show" held in Gallery One. I won an award of $100 for my pictorial piece "Solar Powered, Wind Assisted, Manually Operated Clothes Dryer " which "Now, you are an artist!" In that one statement I had achieved my 42 year long dream, to be recognized as an Artist in something regarded as a "craft". Yes, in that moment I felt I had arrived at the threshold of my goal. Merely the threshold mind you, there are many more layers to my dream. EBSQ was suggested to me by a person who had read my blog "cilipower.wordpress.com" and after seeing the same piece plus several more wall hangings, told me of EBSQ and said my work was "gallery quality" and I might like to check out this site. I am totally impressed with EBSQ as a venue of merit!
I have through my showings here in Ellensburg, and operating my blog about my work, begun finally achieving a level of confidence in my work and that my work may actually have a viable niche, however small, in the world of art patronage. Since I have gone on and on and already described one of my proudest works, I will use the link below to upload a piece made for my sister called "Fran's Flowers" which is my first piece of work in which I have knotted my versions of my favorite, flowers! I love this piece, and have made many floral hangings since this one and have improved my "floral" renditions.

Uh, I also am a writer of even more years than my knotting days, though not a published one, and therefore the wordiness of my "Hello"!

Thank you for your patience and your time,
Cecilia Power (cilipower)

Welcome, Welcome, Cecilia. Great to have you here at EBSQ and the forums! I love macrame and did my share back in it's heyday. I did a lot of jewelry and loved doing it. Your piece is amazing and I hope to see more of your work. Can't wait for you to fill up a portfolio. Macrame is close to my heart. Love fiber!!

Good to have you here!!

Carolyn

Hi all,

just writing to introduce to the forums here a new EBSQ member, my friend, the lovely artist Tina Calderin (GalleryT), from Gainsville, Florida (http://www.ebsqart.com/Artist/GalleryT/47764/). She actually joined and set up an EBSQ portfolio a little while ago, but is new to our community forums. She and I will be pairing up for the 'Ripped Off' exhibit this month -- in any case, just wanted to give her a little intro of welcome here (Hi, Tina! :-)...)....

Her Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/GalleryT

Thanks!

Greetings from New Hampshire. Just dropping by to say hello. I am Sandra White and my art is quilling......narrow strips of paper rolled which I place beneath my own cut out to create beautiful wildlife....check out my Herons. They are waiting for you in my portfolio. I will add my loons and birds and wildflowers in the next few days. And of course, my custom wedding invitation keepsake for the Bride and Groom -- the original invitation is framed with quilled flowers around it.
Just wondering, does anybody know what gallery I should be in, I don't know where to put my Quilled Wildlife Art.

Edit---I wonder why it says patron over there and not artist, and my picture isn't there but is on my profile page....hmmmmm.

Hi Sandra, welcome! Your work is beautiful although I confess I don't really understand the process, I'll have to read it again more carefully in the morning . :)
