This sounds like excellent advise. I like your thinking Harlan. Since I dont paint on a regular basis, I can say regarding creating a thing someone gave me this advise that seems to stick with me very well and it is simply, "Once you have it, COMMIT to your design" which has helped me a lot. I dont know if this applies
to this question but though it was of value to mention???

Welcome to the forums, Rossana!!!

Could you be a bit more specific about what your difficulty with the folds in the fabric is? A very good rule for oil painters is to stop painting what you "know" is there, and paint what you see. If you try to paint a gold ring thinking about it being a gold ring, it becomes a difficult project. If you stop thinking about it being a gold ring and just look to see what is really there, the different colors and the shading, the task becomes simpler. Maybe that would help with your fabric problem?

Posting a photo of your project may help us figure out what the problem is and give you more useful advice.

I have joined again. I will like to post to EBSQ Plus for 2010. When is the link going to be in the art case? Today is March 24, 2010 and I know that this is coming up in April.

Thank you for any assistance,

Rossana Kelton

You'll be able to apply starting on 5 April through 20 April and results will be announced at the beginning of May.

Cheers!

Hi again[&:]

How would I start a shameless self promotion post..Do i open my own thread and add all my new work on my thread each time a new one pops up?

Michele

lamillerphotography -> RE: New to EBSQ? Say hello! (5/6/2010 7:38:10 PM)

No rules Michele, but I would probably start a new one for each piece.

bromley2 -> RE: New to EBSQ? Say hello! (5/6/2010 9:40:21 PM)

Usually it is one piece per post.....but sometimes if I have a few I put 2-3 in the same post.  I think it is pretty rule-less like Lisa said.

I see you joined the team on Etsy--that the first step! [;)]

Now if you look further down the forum you will see a section called Team EBSQ--inside there is the forum for Team EBSQ-Etsy. You'll find information on the tags, showcases, treasuries, etc. [:D]

Welcome to the Team! Stop by and say hello.

Welcome Beth and Took! [image]http://www.ebsqart.com/forum/micons/m16.gif[/image]

skeymask -> RE: New to EBSQ? Say hello! (3/2/2011 10:35:21 AM)

Welcome, welcome!!

Took, just an FYI your Etsy link on your profile is broken and not connecting correctly.

Your Etsy link under your signature on the post here, is working properly.[:)][:)]

gillie -> RE: New to EBSQ? Say hello! (3/2/2011 10:39:00 AM)

And I can see why: Took included the full url rather than her user id listed in her Etsy slot on her links page. Our site just needs the user id.

Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry about taking so long to join in here. I've been pondering over the profile entries, pic, signature, quote etc. don't know what to do with all those just yet. So will put that aside for the moment and just say Hello --I'm very happy to be here and be part of this community[;)]!
