GreenBiscuit -> Thanks for the inspiration and push. What are you working on now? (10/24/2005 4:49:28 PM)

Hi there.  Just wanted to say that browsing artists at this site has inspired me to start my first painting (on canvas) in years!  I am very excited.  It is unlike anything I have ever attempted, but I guess I have been thinking about it for some time.....it is sort of a color wash/color block thing.  Not sure if it is done yet, but my 4 year old loves it!

What are you working on?  I would love to hear about it.

Thank you Ladies.  I just checked out both of profiles and work.  I love it!

Dawn, I am always thinking that I want a risque painting for our master bath!  Hmmm....

April, we are not too far from each other...I live in Southeast Mass.  Love your work - the Gaia series is great.

Bright blessings -Donna

Congratulations on getting back into painting! That must be a joy for you. It is wonderful that ebsq can inspire so many people.  I know it inspires me all the time and keeps me going when I get into one of those dry spells.

Right now I am working on some new Fractals and trying to understand the program that makes them.  The thing about digital art is the learning curve is a constant hill.  Guess that is true about all art!  We continue to plow ahead and grow.

Welcome and be sure to share what you have done.

Carolyn

Wow!  Thank you all so much for replying!  See, I get busy for a day, and look what happens.  I looked at each of your portfolios (Noelle, I had already seen yours, perhaps because you entered a piece(s) in a monthly exhibit?) and I am awed.  You are all so talented!  One thing that I am absolutely giddy about is the variety - even within each artist's work.  I have always been hesitant, because I feel I haven't developed a style, an MO, if you will.  But - perhaps that doesn't matter?  [:D]

I did finish my piece that this site inspired....I think....I have been back to it about four times and not been inspired to add to it.  I can't tell you the anxiety I feel about photographing it, let alone post it.  You are all professional artists...I am just an Interior Decorator.  It crossed my mind to enter it in the Orange competition (there is a prominent orange element in it) but.....well, I am ah-scared, as my little group of friends would say.

Thank you all again for the welcome!
