Don't worry; you don't need to know html to do any of these things.
For your artist statement, just type it like you do here and click save when you're done.
To add art to your portfolio:
click "Upload/Edit Art (ArtCase)" at in the menu at left on this page. (you can get to this same section by clicking "upload art" in the do more section at the bottom of any page on the site)
Click the "add" button. This will take you to the page where you will upload your work and include the title, medium, text about your work, etc.
Click the "browse" button on this page to search your personal computer for where the file is located and click "OK" when you've found it.
If you want the work to be viewable to the public, select "gallery" toward the bottom of the page (the default is "(none)" )
Once all of your information reads as expected, click "save" at the very bottom of the page.
