I can see how to add a piece of artwork to favorites, yet I'm not seeing any way to add the artist in general. On the front page of ebsq there's a list of the most favorited artists & I'm curious about how that happened if I can't figure out how to make anyone a favorite!

You can favourite an artist when viewing their work either in the EBSQ Galleries or when viewing someone's work in a show. You'll see the little heart under their profile bar when viewing their work in these settings. You can also favourite people directly from our AOTD mailing and at least one of our AOTD feeds.

We know this is a little confusing, which is why we have some changes in the works addressing this specific issue (as well as a few others!)

OK thanks - I found a couple through concentration that I'd wanted to make favorites - so as of yet there's no way to do it through their profile? I have to go back out & search through the galleries or shows for the heart icon to show up?

Unfortunately, yes. This was definitely a design flaw on our part. The hearts only show up under an artist's name bar in the description for an individual art item, and when you're looking directly at an artist's portfolio, it was assumed that you already knew whose art you were looking at, so the name bar doesn't show up in the description, thus no heart and no way to fave.
