Log into the site reguarly and then try to access that page. Let us know if you're still having a problem after that.

Also, for future reference, artists should never lock their own COA's; that is supposed to be done by the person who purchases your work.

Dear Amie,

when I create COA on ebsq,, there is two things with no. like COA ID and VALIDATION CODE....After validating its locked...If I don't do that then its only blank left there...

I have two questions regarding this issue as follows:

1. How buyer can lock the COA? And
2. Buyer must be the ebsq member to lock the COA?

I am using ebsq for creating COA.. never did this anywhere else...Kindly solve this issue...

and I am still not login to this Function,,,Im still unauthorized to do that...

Regards,

Poonam

Yes, the buyer must register for EBSQ to be able to lock it. Patron accounts are free, so there is no fee involved with that type of membership.

And they're able to lock the COA by following the instructions either on the printed version or email version of the COA you send them. BUT if you lock the COA, the buyer won't be able to.

I am not sure why you're unable to access the page to unlock your COA. What is the title of the piece? We can take a further look into this, and unlock it for you if need be.

Yes pls I want to remove that item totally from ebsq.

Actually I created two COA for one painting by mistake, there is two COA with same title, I tried to delete but that ws also not possible...

this painting description is as follows:

NUDE MALE FRONT TORSO oil painting JOYFUL, s.06
and I have deleted the image there...
May be its easier to find this way if u look into that matter.

Dear Amie, If buyer isn't a member of ebsq,, then Should I validate the COA or I should left it blank?

regards,
Poonam

The whole point of the digital COA is for the buyer's benefit. You locking it for them would be meaningless. There is no security issue with COAs remaining unlocked. The locking process is simply there to give future buyers a way to trace provenance if the work is ever resold.

Please leave the COA blank. The only thing you should be filling in is your signature on the printed copy.

Hopefully this is making some sense to you; I fear language is failing me this morning!

Thank you so much for such valuable info, I didn't know..:)

Is it possible that I can delete this COA as its useless for me..

I don't want to send this COA to the buyer by mistake, therefore I thought if its unlocked then I am able to delete that.. but Im still not able to unlock it...

Poonam

did you get an email with the validation information for this piece? and if so, could you forward it to info@ebsqart.com ? we could just delete this, but if you've found a bug, we need to investigate that further so we can fix the problem.

It is indeed locked. How are you trying to unlock it? Are you going to this page?
http://www.ebsqart.com/COA.asp

And then pasting each number set in the proper box?

No dear Im not going to this page to unlock it,, this page shows the complete COA only....

I login to my ebsq account, and goes to TOOLS and then GENERAL TOOLS then MANAGE COAs (owned) there is a option to unlock the COA?

but as I click to next or click to unlock one of the COA there, it takes me to login page again,,, then Im not able to login...

Poonam

You should indeed be seeing a page with blank spaces to enter the item number. I forwarded the code I received from the site. Once that comes, put in the coa number on this page and click the "lookup" button.

were you able to paste in the validation code and unlock it? if you were successful, you will now be able to delete this item in total from your portfolio.
