 Hi everyone! My name is Melanie and I have just joined EBSQ. Spent a lot of time yesterday getting set up and have the back bone of my profile and portfolio started. I still need to learn a lot to get it looking more professional and would welcome suggestions (like how to place pictures on my commissions page, backgrounds etc)

I have been painting and creating ACEO's for 5-6 years now. I started painting as my artistic outlet after I came down with an unknown Chronic illness that turned my life upside down. After 9.5 years of being sick... I finally have a true and medically provable diagnosis - M.E./CFS (often know as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)

Before I got it, I didn't believe it in because for so long the media portrayed it as the "Yuppie Flu". They have done us a great disservice as there are now many biomarkers. There is also still a lot that is unknown and I donate 10% of all the proceeds from my art sales towards research.

But back to art! I am so excited to connect with other artists, share my art, join in the exhibits and make a few new friends here! Status: offline 		Welcome, Welcome!!! You have been a busy beaver! You have not only your statement, but also favorite artists and your porfolio with lots of pieces in it. If you get Paypal buttons, you will be ahead of a lot of us that have been here a while (including myself!!). Very impressed. I love your work. I am a lover of flowers and your enchanted series caught my eye right off the bat!!! Nice work!

Well, I've been a member here for while as a Patron, just biding my time until I was ready to jump in. So much of my artist statement and descriptions are paste and cut... hee hee... I should have just let you all think I was super woman!

Thanks for the compliments. I'm loving my enchanted series and I can't wait to get more involved here on the forums. I used to be very involved in some art groups on eBay. When those pretty much folded - I've had an empty spot waiting to be filled!
