Hello Everyone,

I am fairly new to this so do not want to do the wrong thing. All of my art on EBSQ has a COA which all are unlocked. Should I lock them?

I am going to be donating one of my paintings for a silent auction to a benefit for a friend who has liver failure. Upon the person who wins my painting, I want them to have the COA. What should I do? Should I lock then unlock the COA? What would happen if I print it and give the COA to the winning bidder?

I have a week to get this done, so if anyone could help me I would surely appreciate it!

thank you!

Patricia

Hello Patricia!

You aren't supposed to lock your own COAs. The locking process is purely for the buyer/owner. Sorry for the confusion!

Oh that's good to know Now what do I do when the painting is auctioned? Can I just print it or does the buyer have to do anything?

Thanks again for your help!

In that situation, most people print the COA, sign it, and include it in an envelope included with the painting to be auctioned. Good luck!
