I love the little doggie in my avatar as I am his breeder.  But...it's time for a change!  I have tried: uploading images from hard drive.  Uploading images from photobucket.  Images are 100X100 and then I tried 80 X 80, both ways and no success?  Sniff sniff...I was having a good computer day so far too...HELP!!!!  (praying)

Thank you both Beth and Melissa! The Heron is Muriels doing you know!  I had to do a little re-size thing and had a slight upload problem but it all worked out!  wiping sweat off my brow!

I wish I knew what you did, nothing I do will make an avatar show up for me (under 100x100, less than 20KB, etc). I upload the picture & nothing happens.

I just tried again with a pic that's I think 55x55, 4K maybe that will work.

No, that didn't work either. I'd blame it on Mercury Retrograde but it's nothing new.

BTW I like your new avatar Stephanie, I meant to say that before but then got sidetracked by my own issues.

Thanks everyone, I love my new Heron avatar too and I will never change it!  Vicky I think I ended up loading the photo onto photobucket for it to work and did it that way.  I think.  I was trying a bunch of stuff and it finally appeared!

Maybe I'll try photobucket too. I even got a message saying that my picture was successfully uploaded, did you get that when you were having trouble?

send me whatever specific file you were trying to upload so we can see why it wasn't working and hopefully give it a nudge.

OK,

I ask because the last one I tried was quite small, I'd prefer to have it a little bigger so maybe if I send you a larger & smaller version you can get something to work. I really don't understand, this has never worked for me ever since the introduction of these boards. It doesn't matter how small I go!!

What browser are you using? And you're on a mac, yes? I seem to recall there being some weird mac bug with avatar uploads, but I don't know if it's safari specific.

When I have the image later, I'll try it via firefox on my mac to see if I can replicate the problem.
