Ah, o.k. so here's the deal. This piece is actually not the same piece that I entered in Springboard - at least, not anymore. It's an entirely different piece of art. I had titled it "Springtime in the City" when I first did it. It was just an abstract piece done in acrylics - but I later realized it was only half finished. So just recently, I changed the background, and added the mixed-media. It was a piece of art that I was going to scrap, then decided to salvage it this way. So is there anything I can do in this case? I guess I liken it to the Beatles taking the "White Album" and later deciding to add artwork to it, only my background wasn't white. It was just colored blobs of paint. It's not the same painting. I know people have told me that I shouldn't do that to art - that it's all part of the growing process. But there were a few pieces that I couldn't bear to look at anymore and the result of that artistic frustration was to redo them.
