- Early Morning in the French Quarter SOLD
The painted buildings of the old Vieux Carre' are soft and beautiful in the early morning light, but still they retain their mystery. This large impressionist oil painting captures the daytime beauty of this city of history. It is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas which can be hung unframed, if you choose. (The edges of the canvas are also painted.) A convenient picture wire kit is included for instant hanging. This is a one-of-a-kind original, and Diane's certificate of authenticity will be enclosed. Diane's work is currently published by Ariel of France, a leader in Fine Art reproductions. ARTIST'S STATEMENT: It seems as though I have not chosen New Orleans as one of my main themes, but rather it has chosen me to paint its many wonderful views. A small portion of this sale will go to the Red Cross.
