Artist's Profile

My name is Christine Schwartzkopf however i have always went by Chris or Christi. At the present time i live in Portland IN.We are planning to relocate to FL. hopefully sometime in the next year for my health,i lived there in most of my twenties and loved it.I was born in Wilmington,Ohio on Dec.29,1952 so i'm however old that makes me.I try not to think of age, sometimes i feel like a teenager sometimes much older.Whenever i start a new project i get the younger vibes going , then tend to lose all track of time and what is even going on around me.That is how it was when i first discovered fractals.I would stay up half the night to complete one.

I'm an animal lover, big time.i have eight chihuahua's(i know),a cat, lovebird and two tanks of fish.At one time i have had just about every kind of pet even a few rats and snakes.
I also love movies, all kinds but fantasy and SyFy are my favorites.i also love the older classics like "Gone with the Wind"

I use to read a lot but not so much anymore, the last was the Harry Potter series.I have read most of Stephen King's books except ones out in the last few years but all of his early ones.

I did my first oil painting when i was about 13 years old,my older sister is an artist so i had some early instruction from her.i would sit and draw in school as far back as i can remember.Even got in trouble for that a couple of times.
I am mostly self taught except for a few times i took some art classes over the years.
I had my last official art lessons in a small private class sitting about twenty years ago, about ten students and that was my first time to work with acrylics which is a medium i still use.I also work  a lot with Prismacolor pencil,i started with them a couple of years ago.
Mostly now i work with digital fractal, they are my new passion and they still amaze me.
I recently started printing off my own digital prints to sell and am learning photoshop so i will be able to do more with the prints i create. In the future i would like to be able to put images together and even fancier editing.
