The lower left shows my dearest dog, Cocoa. Above Cocoa is our newest dog, Ember, who joined us in November. Above them both is a ghost of Niko, who we said goodbye to in September. The upper right is our cat, Jasper, and moving left are the sisters, Pixel and Willow, a little shocked by the addition of Ember. Notice how the cats are all in the farthest corner, up high? We hope that they will be continue to be more comfortable around Ember.
The Christmas Tree is decorated with a garland of cranberries, snowflakes, and icons from Minecraft for my sons and their friends. Below those are chess pieces, for my son Owen, who has been enjoying the game. Below that are rollerskates for myself and Quinn, who have done a lot of it this year for both fun and fitness.
The Green Man in the upper left represents our forest, and he is surrounded by illustrations of the leaves of the trees we lost this year along our property's edge. Left to right are Black Walnut, Dogwood, Hickory, Red and White Oak, Sweet Gum, Pine, Poplar, Maple, and Cedar. He also represents my project "Fiber for the Forest" (@Fiber4theForest) an installation of art from across the globe.
On the lower right are some chickens, but not exact representations of our gang. At the top is our Silkie rooster, Chipmunk Wolowitz. We've really enjoyed our little chicken gang and their eggs. We're holding steady at a dozen birds, but we may add a few more chicks this coming year. The flamingo is for my dear family in Florida.
