This huge dolphin was a labor of love for me as part of a Fundraising effort for our Marco Island, Florida Art League and YMCA. I was one of 35 Artists entrusted with creating a beautiful dolphin that would hopefully raise funds at a local Auction Fund Raiser. 35 Patrons chose the dolphin design they liked - and paid $ 3,000 each to sponsor "their" dolphin. My design consisted of Flora native to beautiful South West Florida. After the work on the 35 dolphins was completed in Mid February of this year, the dolphins were displayed in front of the patrons' place of business for 6 weeks. At the end of April they were auctioned off at the local Marriott Hotel. I was very pleased that my dolphin went to the highest bidder at $ 5,500.00 ( the 4th highest amount of the 35 dolphins) to a local business.
