I have been a big fan of Sara Field ever since I found one of her Klimt pieces on eBay. So, there was no way I could resist her piece “Klimt’s Cat meets Pity Kitty”. My stuffy piece was created using nouveau-esque cotton prints. The gold colored pieces were slip stitched with gold metallic thread to the larger black piece. The pink felt ears/nose and the black/green eyes were hand sewn with silver metallic thread. The entire red front piece, along with the cat appliqué, is machine quilted and sewn to another red back piece. About a half inch flat seam surrounds the entire piece which is moderately stuffed. Sara is such a wonderfully talented artist. I hope my rip does her work justice.
