Since our school drafted me to create their yearly scarecrow for the local fall festival scarecrow contest, I chose to tie it to a famous artist.This scarecrow is a tribute to the artist George Rodrigue and his blue dog creation. This is a collaborative art project put together by the entire school, K-8 grade, and a few moms. This was our first entry and we placed third that year. You can't see it in the picture but blue dog is painting Van Gogh's Sunflowers and there is a facsimile of the book "Why is Blue Dog Blue".
