In West Texas cactus, mesquite, and stars abound. This cactus has prickly pears. Prickly pears are actually edible. You cut out the needle eyes like you would on a potato. The inside of the pear has a slightly sweet pear taste. When they get a deep purplish-red they are ripe.
This one is done on 8" x 10" canvas with acrylic and mixed media.
