Art: Hidden Falls by Artist Sandra Willard

The main focal point of this watercolor was supposed to be the waterfall. I wanted to showcase the blue sparkly watercolor paint from Daniel Smith and it really does look beautiful but the star of the piece, for me, is the green tree on the left.

I just adore how the colors mixed together. So much so that I tried to duplicate it. Many times. I thought I knew the exact colors that I used but I have come to accept that I can't figure the formula out. Sometimes that is the beauty of art and is truly what makes an original artwork one-of-a-kind. Especially when the artist who created it can't recreate it!
